Another successful concert was performed by Côr Meibion Bro Dysynni on Easter Saturday at Neuadd Pendre, Tywyn.

This was different from their usual concerts as between their contributions there was a recital by Jonathan Mann on a wurlitzer organ.

The concert was very well attended by locals and, being the Easter holiday, by many visitors to the town and the choir received very positive feedback from the event.

The summer is a busy period for them as we they be singing at the opening ceremony of the Tywyn Town Trail arranged by the Tywyn History Society at 2pm on 13 July on the beach front.

There is a history of groups singing on the beach in the Victorian period so their involvement in this event is particularly poignant.

At the ceremony local MP Liz Saville Roberts will be speaking as will Quentin Deakin, chair of the history society and town councillor.

Fairbourne Church will be the venue for the concert on Wednesday, 24 July at 7.30pm.

The choir is also looking for new members and practice at Tywyn Baptist church every Wednesday evening from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
