Members of a WI branch celebrating its 60th anniversary are trying to track down former members to invite to a celebratory dinner. Cilcennin WI, which is holding the dinner at the Ty Glyn Hotel in Cilcennin on 5 October, are keen to attract all past and present members. Laura Lewis, branch president for the past 10 years, said: “Obviously some will have passed away over the years, but we’re hoping there’ll be a few old faces who’ll be happy to join us.” Any former members who wish to attend the function can contact her on 01570 470121.
