Madam,
With regards to the bus stop at the Minffordd layby and the turning for Abergynolwyn, coming down from Corris. I have had on-going correspondence with Gwynedd Council regarding both the light (which is definitely needed) at the Minffordd layby, and clearer signing as you come down from Corris.
Coming down the pass and seeing the Abergynolwyn sign is one thing. However, coming from Corris, down the incline and judging the turning is a guessing game, at present, and it is so easy to graze the paving edge there.
That part of my correspondence has been referred to the Welsh Assembly, as it is beyond the budget here, being a major road junction.
The part of my missive asking for the street light is now in the hands of Llandudno staff, and I am in possession of a reference number for work. I am assured Llandudno staff are well familiar with our area.
A light is most decidedly called for because of the wooded area behind the layby (delightful in broad daylight but not so, at night). Also that is a very wide section of the road; it is invariably deserted, so anything untoward happening would not likely have witnesses. I will certainly keep readers up to date with any further correspondence.
Yours etc
Jill Baxter
Abergynolwyn.
