A MUCH-LOVED community football team is in danger of folding, unless it can raise thousands of pounds to repair its damaged pitch.
CPD Llanystumdwy is currently celebrating its third decade in the Gwynedd League.
However, a terrible winter and a dedication to improve the club’s facility has put the club and its pitch under huge financial strain.
Now co-manager Aled Jones, who has been involved at the club since its conception, has a stark message for the club’s fans.
“We need to raise £6,000 to help complete our new pitch (Cae Top) in Llanystumdwy,” he said.
“It is now 30 years since we have been Clwb Pêl-droed Llanystumdwy Football Club. However, without your support we will be no more.
“We have been self-sufficient for the last 29 years, but this year severe weather and closure of our club shop in Criccieth have resulted in unsustainable losses.
