IN August, members met for the annual treasure hunt, which was set by last year’s winners.
Clues were to be found along the town’s streets and riverside with the evening culminating in everyone meeting up again at The Hive on the Quay.
Finding the clues proved more challenging to some than others and the winners were Eleanor Evans and Anne Evans.
They were presented with the Wynne Davies Memorial Silver Salver by Neris Lloyd.
Following tradition, members had a stall in the successful Aberaeron Carnival on Bank Holiday Monday.
Trade was brisk and a total of £202.06 was raised.
The charities for this year are the Aberaeron Community Friendship Group and the Blood Bikes and the stall’s proceeds will be shared and donated to these two charities together with money already raised during the year.
For the September meeting, they were back in the British Legion Hall.
President Neris Lloyd took them through the business before introducing Lesley Denver, who advised and encouraged members to participate in chair yoga.
Linda Badham thanked Lesley on behalf of members.
The competition winners were: 1st Ann Jackson and 2nd Sylvia Williams with Jacqui Thomas winning the raffle prize.
