Thursday, 18 July: 9.30am, Parish Communion service, in the Church Hall, followed by refreshments.

St David, Henfynyw: 9.45am, Family Service and Baptism (bilingual service).

St David, Llanddewi Aberarth: No service.

St Padarn, Pennant: No service.

Bridge club

THE club played in the simultaneous pairs competition for Kidney Research on 11 July.

£71 was raised for the cause.

Winners were: Keith Bellamy and Gill Howells, with Herbie Rowley and Nigel Symons Jones second and Dai Hayes and Jen Harris third. Keith and Gill were 43rd overall.

The Wednesday afternoon tuition for beginners and improvers is now being rested for the summer. The sessions will start again on 4 September.

Aberaeron Bridge Club continues to meet in the Royal British Legion Hall each Thursday at 6.40pm.
