Carols evening
THE annual Christmas carols evening will be held at the memorial hall on Wednesday, 11 December at 7.30pm.
The festive singing will be accompanied by Aberystwyth Brass Ensemble.
There will also be readings, stories and musical items, as well as the opportunity to win festive goods.
A licensed bar will also be open, and mulled wine and mince pies will also be served. Tickets cost £2.50 and are available from the box office.
Noddfa
A CHRISTMAS coffee morning is being held at the British Legion Hall on Tuesday, 3 December, between 10.30am and noon.
Noddfa meets twice a week at the British Legion offering support and friendship to those with issues around mental health.
Join them for a cuppa and cake and browse Christmas crafts, bric a brac and raffle stalls.
Every year they try to raise money to fund outings and activities for members.
Church services
SUNDAY, 1 December - Holy Trinity Church, Aberaeron: 8.45am, Cymun Bendigaid; 11am, Holy Communion and Sunday school, followed by refreshments in the church hall.
Thursday, 28 November: 9.30am, Parish communion service in the church hall, followed by refreshments.
St David, Henfynyw: 9.45am, Holy Communion (bilingual service).
St David, Llanddewi Aberarth: No service.
St Padarn, Pennant: 2pm, Holy Communion (bilingual service).
Community Christmas
AT noon on Saturday, 30 November, the annual Community Christmas will start in the marquee in Pwll Cam.
There will be over 20 stalls as well as free cawl and mulled wine donated by the businesses and organisations in town.
Father Christmas will arrive at 3pm.
Local businesses have contributed raffle prizes.
There will be a lantern parade starting at 4.45pm - all are welcome to join the primary school children, but remember to bring a light.
The parade will finish outside the town hall where Rev Canon John P Lewis will give the prayer.
The Christmas lights will be turned on and Aberaeron Primary School children will sing Christmas songs under the tree.

THERE will be a Mass on Sunday, 1 December, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church at 12.30pm.
Window Spotting Competition
IT has been lovely to see so many families walking around town to complete the Window Spotting Competition.
Remember to leave your completed forms in the box in J R Evans, the shoe shop, before 4pm on Thursday, 28 November.
The draw for the winners will take place at 4pm on Saturday, 30 November, in the Community Christmas marquee.
Bridge club
ANNE and Arwel Williams – who have only attended the Wednesday afternoon learners and improvers session for just over a year – won on 21 November. Jen Harris and Ted Morgan were second. Their points included three complete ‘tops’ against one pair, the equivalent of a cricket hat-trick. Dylan Raw-Rees and Mike Fellows were third.
Dylan and Mike bid and made two slams, while Keith Bellamy and Gill Howells bid and made one slam.
Aberaeron Bridge Club meets in the Royal British Legion Hall each Thursday at 6.40pm. Duplicate bridge sessions for Improvers continues on Wednesday afternoons starting at 1pm. For further information, phone Gill Howells on 01239 811718 or email [email protected]
