Mae Ysgol Gyfun Aberaeron yn cyfarfod bob amser egwyl dydd Iau yn Ystafell 13 i trafod sut a phryd gallen nhw gasglu arian ar gyfer elusennau gwahanol cyn mynd ati i weithredu ar eu cynlluniau.

Mae eu llwyddiannau diweddaraf yn cynnwys gwerthiannau cacennau, helfeydd trysor, cyngherddau a chwisiau ac mae’r rhain i gyd wedi casglu arian at elusennau gwahanol.

Mae gan unigolion rôlau gwahanol o fewn y sefydliad fel llywydd ac ymgynghorydd datblygiadau celfyddydol, ac mae dyletswyddai gwahanol ar gael fel disgyblion iau yr ysgol yn casglu nwyddau ailgylchu gan ddosbarthiadau cofrestru

Cancer Research UK fundraising committee

THE committee held a very successful cheese and wine evening at the Sports Club on 1 October.

The entertainment provided by Meibion y Mynydd filled the room with music and laughter and their contribution was greatly enjoyed by all.

Chairman Neris Lloyd welcomed all to the event and thanked everyone who had contributed to the success of the evening.

Henry Jones was the evening’s chairman and he delivered in his inimitable style an appropriate address and supported the charity with a generous donation.

As a result of the evening, a profit of £1,938.06 was made – a sum which includes the generous donations received.

In addition, £500 from HSBC under the pound-for-pound scheme is to be added.

Committee members thanked all who have contributed and supported this charity and extended a warm welcome to the coffee morning to be held at Peniel Chapel vestry between 10.30am and noon on Saturday, 5 November, when Christmas cards etc will be on sale.
