Yn ail ran y noson croesawyd i’n plith pedwar aelod o Beiciau Gwaed Cymru, sef Graham ac Angela Jones, Glyn Griffiths a Chris England.

Gwirfoddolwyr ydynt sy’n mwynhau beicio, felly maent yn falch eu bod yn medru rhoi rhywbeth nôl i’r gymdeithas trwy wneud yr hyn a hoffant.

Pwysleisiodd Graham fod gwirfoddolwyr eraill yn helpu hefyd, sef hyfforddwyr, peirianyddion, gweithwyr swyddfa a chasglwyr arian sy’n hanfodol i’r gwaith.

Byddant yn cludo gwaed ar gyfer a trosglwyddiad, nwyddau a meddyginiaeth o un ysbyty i’r llall ac yn helpu gyda gofal plant newyddanedig.

Mae’r gwasanaeth yn rhad ac am ddim i’r Bwrdd Iechyd, yn dibynnu’n llwyr ar roddion.

Gwnaed casgliad o £100 ar y noson tuag at yr achos, bydd y casgliad ar agor tan diwedd Mehefin er mwyn rhoi cyfle i’r aelodau oedd yn absennol gyfrannu.

Diolchodd Megan ar ran y gangen am noson arbennig.

Y trip dirgel fydd yn cloi’r tymor ar 18 Mehefin.

New children’s choir

AFTER many months of planning and preparation, Holy Trinity Church, is launching its new children’s choir.

They are delighted that musician, Dr Andrew Cusworth, is helping to establish the choir, and will be directing its musical curriculum with the help of other experienced musicians.

The children will sing a wide variety of music, and will follow the internationally recognised Royal School of Church Music Voice for Life award scheme.

This is a structured, multi-level, course, which helps children to demonstrate increasing knowledge and understanding of music as their voices and skills develop.

Awards are presented annually at the RSCM West Wales Area Choirs Festival Service, usually held in St Davids Cathedral.

Their aim for the future is for the children’s choir to be able to perform in special services and events, both within and beyond the Church, and that it will contribute to services on a monthly basis.

The choir will begin with a free taster session in the church on Friday, 15 June, from 4-5.15pm.

Thereafter, sessions will run every Friday, 4-5.15pm, for the duration of the summer, with a break for the Bank Holiday week, re-starting on 7 September.

All children aged 7-11 years, of all faiths or of none, are welcome to come along, whether they are complete beginners or already know they enjoy singing, and the choir’s rehearsals will be held bilingually (in Welsh and English).

The subscription for this will be £5 per session, with a discount for those who pay in full, in advance, for blocks of sessions (financial help is available for those who have interested children but who may have difficulty finding the funds).

For more information, or to book a place, e-mail [email protected] or call Rev Mark Ansell, Vicar of Holy Trinity Church, on 01970 617849.
