Mawddach Art Group

THE Mawddach Art Group held a very successful one week exhibition of their artwork in the Dragon Theatre, Barmouth, over the early May Bank holiday.

The public were able to view the work by a dozen amateur artists, featuring a variety of themes and mediums, including water colour, oil, acrylic and pastel.

Entry was free and the exhibition drew many visitors and locals to the Arts room of the theatre.

The artists were encouraged by the numbers visiting and the many enthusiastic comments and sales made; they were especially grateful to Allison at the theatre and Matthew White for their help.

The artists, all amateurs from Barmouth and the surrounding area, meet each Thursday morning in the Christ Church Schoolroom in Beach Road, Barmouth at 10am, and are always keen to welcome and help new members of any age or ability.

To join them, just turn up on a Thursday morning and see them at work. (Access is via the side door above Adele’s flower shop.)
