Heart of Wales Vintage Lorry Rally
ON Saturday, 7 September, the Heart of Wales Vintage Lorry Rally once again visited Barmouth.
This was the 20th anniversary of the outing and as usual the lorries drew a large crowd not only in Barmouth, but also at various good viewing points along the route from Shropshire to Llanberis.
John Boughey the organiser of the rally would like a correction made to the report that was in the Cambrian News last week.
Over recent years the drivers have raised thousands of pounds for the Wales Air Ambulance and before that the RNLI.
They have never raised money for the Heart Foundation.
This year the lorry drivers raised £1,000 at their evening meal and £250 was raised by the Wales Air Ambulance volunteers on the car park while the drivers were having lunch.
