Bowling Club

1 APRIL brought with it the start of the 2017 season for Barmouth Bowling Club.Members of the club met at the clubhouse on Saturday to begin yet another year of hopefully, a successful season of the much enjoyed game of bowls.Following the meeting, members, family and friends enjoyed an evening get-together for dinner, where reminiscences of last season’s victories and new season’s hopes were discussed and old rivalries revived. The bowling green is in excellent condition and ready for new and old members to enjoy once more, despite the winter storms of heavy rainfall and high winds and the resident rabbit family doing their best to foil the efforts of the green keeper and members of the club to keep the green in top condition. A big thank you went to all members whose assistance has been invaluable in providing the club with a superb bowling green ready to start the 2017 year’s games. They are happy to welcome newcomers who would like to try their hand at this very enjoyable sport, which promotes healthy outdoor activity and leisure for all the family. For golfers, the club has a putting green for practice or to help brush-up your technique. The club is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 1.45pm.

Other days are available by prior arrangement.
