ON Tuesday, 8 May at 10am, the group will hold a walk and talk on the geology of Snowdonia - a practical introduction.

A walk on the slopes of Cnicht led by Clive Hudson.

Meet at 10am in the roadside car park by Gelli Iago, Blaen Nanmor (NGR SH 632484).

Suitable boots and waterproofs essential.

From Nanmor we will follow the footpath to Llyn Llagi, then traverse across the hillside to return via Gelli Iago.

Distance 6 km (3.75m), about 1,000ft of ascent, crossing hill slopes, boggy in places. Approx five hours.

Bring a picnic.
