Open morning
THE Eryri National Park has invited the town council to send representatives to an open morning to be held at Canolfan Prysor between 10am and noon on Thursday, 4 April, where information and objectives of the plan will be shared.
Choir
THE Moelwyn Choir, conducted by Sylvia Ann Jones and accompanist Wenna Francis Jones, entertained the staff and residents at the Bryn Blodau Home, Llan Ffestiniog on Friday evening.
This Friday evening they will be back giving a concert at Betws y Coed.
Fun day
BLAENAU Bendigedig is arranging a fun day on Good Friday, 19 April between 11am and 4pm where there will be stalls etc and it is hoped that there will be entertainment by local artistes as well.
It will take place at the local railway station area.
Town council
THE town council has congratulated Bob Coxon, the council clerk’s husband, on his recent major kidney transplant at a Liverpool hospital and the recent death of former councillor Carolyn Iolo was acknowledged.
Buses
IT has been reported to the council that a number of complaints have been made that buses arriving from Porthmadog were stopping in front of T? Gorsaf and not at the appropriate bus stops by the railway station.

Cymdeithas
THE English section of Cymdeithas Bro Ffestiniog will end their lecture monthly meetings at 7pm on Thursday, 11 April, at the community centre which will start with their annual meeting and will be followed by a lecture by local Steffan Ab Owain, his topic being ‘Blaenau Ffestniog 100 years ago’.
As for their May meeting, it will be an outing, yet to be stated where to and on what date.
