Côr y Brythoniaid
NOS Sadwrn, 25 Chwefror, bu Côr y Brythoniaid yn cymryd rhan yng Nghyngerdd Dydd Gwyl Dewi Cymdeithas Corau Meibion Gogledd Cymru a gynhaliwyd yn Theatr Hafren (Severn Theatre), Amwythig. Roedd yr holl docynnau, 650 ohonynt, wedi eu gwerthu ers sawl wythnos, gan olygu fod y theatr yn llawn ar gyfer yr achlysur. Roedd y cyngerdd er budd y Gymdeithas Motor Neurone, ac roedd y côr yn falch iawn o’i gefnogi. Canodd y côr oddeutu 15 o ganeuon, y cymysgedd arferol o’r clasurol, emyn-donau, caneuon ysbrydol a chaneuon cyfoes. Yn ystod ambell gân cafwyd un-awdau gan ddau o aelodau’r Côr, sef Jon Murray ac Arwyn Tibbott Williams, gyda’r arweinydd, John Eifion, hefyd yn cyfrannu ambell unawd oddi mewn i gân.Yn rhannu’r llwyfan gyda’r côr oedd y pianydd ifanc hynod dalentog Julian Gonzales, ynghyd â’r grwp harmoni, Triawd Nantclwyd, tair o ferched dawnus o Ddyffryn Clwyd. Roedd cael gwrando ar Driawd Nantclwyd yn canu yn bleser arbennig i Oscar Williams o adran y baswyr oherwydd roedd un o’r merched yn wyres iddo. Arweinydd hwyliog a ffraeth y noson oedd Dilwyn Price, sydd yn hen law ar lywio digwyddiadau o’r fath. Cafwyd cyngerdd gwerth chweil gyda’r gynulleidfa yn amlwg wedi mwynhau’r amrywiaeth difyr o gerddoriaeth ac arddulliau cerd-dorol a glywyd yn ystod y noson.
