THE town council has received a copy of a letter from Ken Skates AM to Liz Saville Roberts MP regarding the safety improvements made to the A496 and having accepted the information the Council is to contact Gwynedd Council regarding the height of the barriers at the side of the road as they don’t seem to be of uniform height.

Steps

THE town council, having received a request for information regarding the ownership of the steps from the back road of Jones Street to Jones Street as it was, said that they are in a dangerous condition as well as the steps leading to the Diffwys car park from the Co-op.

The town council is to inform Gwynedd Council that they feel that these steps at Jones Street are their responsibility and to ask them to arrange to clean the steps to the Diffwys car park.

Race

IT has been announced that next year’s popular Moelwyn Fell Race will be taking place on Saturday, 5 May, with the seniors setting off from Dolawel Rugby ground at 2pm followed by the junior runners.

The event is again organised by the Blaenau Amateurs club and the Hebog Runners Club and the intention is get other events organised on that date.

Elected

COUNCILLOR Elin Roberts has been elected onto the Town Cuncil Amenities Committee.

Planning

THE Wynnes Arms in Manod has been closed for a while and now two planning application has been put forward for its change of use from a public house to a single residential dwelling, together with the creation of a car parking area the other being change of its use to offices (B1) with the creation of a car parking area and the Council has no objection to these applications.
