THE council has given its support to a planning application to convert the former Salem Chapel into a bunkhouse residential dwelling.

Councillors also backed applications to construct a two-storey extension on rear of 13 Dorfil Street; construction of a detached garage at 15 Haulfryn Terrace and the erection of a single-storey extension with balcony above and stairs to access at 1 Commercial Square.

CCTV camera

AFTER damage to the CCTV camera that is located on Siop y Gloddfa some months ago, the council has been informed by the police that they cannot proceed and punish the person suspected of damaging it.

The footage from the camera makes a strong case against the suspect but as he denies committing the damage it is felt that it will not be seen as beyond reasonable doubt on the footage.
