Senior Citizens

AT THE first meeting of Borth Senior Citizens following the summer break, members welcomed Kim Williams from the Cors Dyfi Nature Reserve.

Kim gave an illustrated talk on the Dyfi Osprey Project with details of this year’s Nesting together with information on the individual birds.

Following the departure of the ospreys for the winter, the project has now closed until April next year although the reserve is still open to visitors.

Following a tea break the meeting continued with Joy thanking all who had helped with the preparation and decoration of our float on Carnival Day.

Although we did not win a prize for our float this year we were awarded third prize for our garden on the seafront!

Members are looking forward to a scenic coach trip later in September and, following a vote, we will be visiting the Elan Valley.

The next meeting will be in the hall on Thursday, 15 September at 2pm.
