THE Corris Railway Society held its annual general meeting at the Institute in Corris on the evening of Saturday, 21 October.

The attendance included members who had come along from the East Midlands, Sussex and Somerset and once the formal business was completed there was a presentation by chairman Richard Hamilton-Foyn as to the plans for the next stages in the revival of the oldest narrow gauge railway in Mid Wales.

Saturday, 21 October, was also the last train operating day of the main season on the Corris.

The next trains to run the return journey between Corris station to Maespoeth Junction will be the annual Santa Special steam trains which will run on 9 and 10 December.
