Music Club

FOR the last concert of the year, at 7.30pm in Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor on Friday, 2 December, the club is pleased to welcome two local musicians from Dolgellau and Aberystwyth, Rhianwen Pugh (harp) and Rhodri Taylor (clarinet).

Both have flourished at music colleges in London and are now beginning successful freelance careers as soloists and in the major orchestras. They enjoy creating adventurous programmes together: here the choice will range from Carnival of Venice to The Victorian Kitchen Garden, and include a Habanera by Ravel.

From 10am until noon on Saturday, 3 December, also in Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor, Rhianwen will be leading a workshop for young musicians with special emphasis on rhythm and the habanera.If you’re a member of a club, society or group, send your news to [email protected]
