EFAILNEWYDD / LLANNOR WI met on 8 April at the Sports Club.

After the business section of the meeting, Jean Coker welcomed the speakers from Blood Bikes Wales a charity giving support to the NHS, by transporting blood supplies, plasma, documents and other items which need urgent transportation between hospitals in north Wales and the UK.

This often takes place late at night and weekends, when other hospital transport is not available, and all at no cost.

They are always looking for fundraisers, riders and controllers who organise the riders.

All motor bike riders are fully qualified. There are two bikes based in the Bangor area. Edith Roberts thanked the speakers for an interesting presentation, about a subject which was new to the members. Raffle winners were Jean and Doris.

Competition winners were Doris and Dilys and the tea hostesses were Jean and Edith.
