ORGANISERS will be hoping for a full house at the Ffostrasol Arms on Friday, 13 April, with all proceeds going to farming charity RABI.
The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution was established back in 1860 to provide financial help to farmers in need. Today, the charity’s work remains as relevant as ever, giving out grants of £2m to farming people of all ages in 2017 – including £269,000 in Wales.
RABI’s Ceredigion committee is organising the bingo night in the village and cash prizes will be awarded on the night.
The action gets underway at 8pm and a raffle will also be held to further boost funds.
Linda Jones, RABI regional manager for Wales, said: “Our fundraising events in Ceredigion are always well supported and this committee works extremely hard to raise both funds and awareness of what we do. Many farming families are finding life difficult at the moment as it’s been a long and hard winter, but we are here to help.”
Euros Davies, Ceredigion committee chairman, said: “Last year, RABI gave out more than £42,000 to struggling families in Ceredigion.
“Year upon year, the charity is doing some incredible work to support those who often have nowhere else to turn.”
People must generally have limited savings and be on a low income to qualify for RABI’s help.
