THE December meeting was also the group’s Christmas party held in the Castle Café (see picture) President Christine Hemsley welcomed all the members present and business was kept to a minimum, county letter was read, and matters arising were discussed. Then on to the celebrations, mulled wine flowed in a never ending stream, the turkey and cranberry sauce sandwiches were delicious. Home made mince pies with either plain cream or brandy cream. Then for the fun and games, Denise Hagen did a game which was hilarious, points and a prize for the person who had the list of rather strange items in their hand-bags. Jenny Dunley then did her Christmas themed quiz which went down well, and prizes for first, second and third winners were given out. A vote of thanks was given by Christine to Freya and her team at Castle Café for a very enjoyable evening. The next meeting will be in January.
