THE latest community news from Llanbedr
Community council
A WOODEN bridge across the river Artro at Pentre Gwynfryn, along with the fallen tree, has now been removed.
Hopefully there will be a new bridge in the near future, thus restoring public access to the footpath past Dolmygliw, which is a very popular path for tourists and local people.
Work has also been carried out clearing the path towards Coed Mawr.
The Llanbedr Woodland Path project is very busy trying to gain funding for information boards and benches.
This will be ongoing, with a lot of graphic work and establishing a data base and illustrating maps to highlight the proposed paths.
A ‘no through road’ sign will not be erected by Gwynedd Council at Coed Artro. This is a private estate. But there is no objection to the residents making and erecting their own sign.
Speeding along Bryn Deiliog Road is a matter for the police.
The road by Y Felin is again causing concern to the council, since the drain and gulley is again blocked and water is seeping through the tarmac.
The matter will be directed towards Gwynedd Council once again.
Gwynedd Council will be keeping the community council in the loop regarding the proposed Llanbedr new access road. This is encouraging news.
The Remembrance Service at Llanbedr on 11 November, will take place at the war memorial and proceed to the village hall for light refreshments and a display of World War One and World War Two history of Llanbedr.
