Community Council
IN a lengthy meeting it was decided to keep the precept at the same rate as last year at £14,193.
Issues arose regarding the cut backs to the bus service in the area, and matters have been sent to Gwynedd Council and the Transport Commissioner regarding this, and also to Liz Saville Roberts, MP Dwyfor Meirionnydd. In the hope that matters will be resolved soon.
Two planning applications were discussed, and the community council were supportive of both applications:
NP5/62/35U – Location Maes Artro – proposed replacement of one 2 storey 6 person chalet (plot 11) with 3 single storey 2 person camping pods with associated onsite environmental improvements. (Cllr Gruffydd Price did not take part in the discussion, and left the room).
NP5/62/35V – Lodge 14 Maes Artro – Use of the existing holiday let chalet as permanent residential accommodation for a temporary period of 24 months .
Cllr Iolyn Jones will be the Community Council representative on HAL.
Matters for Gwynedd Council are as follows: Reported the need to clear leaves from Rhiw Garth Goch (Aberartro); Also water seeping onto road on Rhiw Felin. Need for extra grit to be placed on site.
Annwen Hughes reported that the surface water entering Maes Artro property will be resolved at the beginning of January.
Work will also be carried out in erecting a barrier on the Talwrn Bach Railway Crossing this year.

It was recently resolved that Gwynedd Council should take the role of Lead Body for this project.
