ON Thursday, 12 October, the chairman, Margaret Howells, welcomed 12 members to the annual Harvest Lunch at The New Inn.
They were joined by one new member, Elaine, but several members were absent due to illness and holidays.
Yvonne served a wonderful spread and after this they discussed and chose the venue for the Christmas lunch and arranged the programme for next year.
This included several visits including an afternoon at Penybont in Llanafan, home of Brenda Jones for the NGS, an afternoon at Curlew Mill and a picnic at the RSPB centre at Ynys-hir.
Margaret will be contacting various speakers to fill the months when they will be holding meetings in the New Inn.
There were three raffle prize winners: May Turnell, Mair Richards and Angela Payne.
Margaret Howells gave the vote of thanks to Yvonne and her team.
The next meeting will be held on Thursday, 9 November, when Ivor and Michelle Ann Thomas will give us a film show entitled ‘A Childs Christmas in Wales’.
New members are always welcome at The New Inn at 2pm.
