LLANDDEWI Brefi WI held their AGM on Wednesday, 1 November.

Kitty Jones, the 2017 president, welcomed everyone to the meeting.

She also welcomed Lynne Lloyd, WI adviser and Lyn Gealy of Tregaron WI who would be organising the voting proceedings.

Following reports from the president, secretary and treasurer the ballots were held to elect the new committee of 10 members and to elect the president and vice presidents.

The competition winner for 2017 was announced as Alex Williams, who was presented with a beautiful china doll.

Lynne created a beautiful flower arrangement using flowers and autumn foliage grown in her garden 1,000 ft up above Tregaron.

This was presented to Kitty the outgoing president.

The president’s badge of office was then presented to Eirwen James, the president for the coming year.

Everyone then enjoyed refreshments provided and served by the outgoing committee.

The new committee then sat and apportioned duties.

The next meeting will be the Christmas lunch with entertainment at Gareth Richards in Lampeter on Saturday, 25 November.

The final meeting of the year will be on Wednesday, 6 December, when Beti Wyn Davies will demonstrate ‘a Taste of Christmas using felt’ at the community hall.
