Community meeting

FOLLOWING a questionnaire on the positive and negatives of Llandysul and also the look ahead for 2030, a meeting was held on Monday, 29 July, to share information and views of the local residents who shared their thoughts.

County councillor Keith Evans, Cllr Mike Hudson and Cllr Andrew Howells explained the outcomes and residents present were allowed to share views.

Library

A FANTASTIC day was held at the library on Thursday, 25 July, when they celebrated Sali Mali’s 50th birthday, with so many families attending the special party (see photos).

A lovely cake was made by Dawn, and Sali Mali herself came to the hall to join for stories and crafts, with prizes being given for the lovely colouring and drawing.

Thanks to all who attended and for the fun day together.

The next story-telling time will be on Thursday, 22 August with a parachute and games.

Coffee morning

THANKS to all who attended the coffee morning at the church hall on Friday, 26 July, and enjoyed a cuppa and a chat, with numerous raffle winners.

Walkers

IT was lovely to see so many walking with the Walkers are Welcome group recently, from Tynewydd, Gorrig through the back road and down to Tregroes, despite the drizzle it was a lovely walk in good company.

THE next meeting will be on 25 September at the Tysul hall at 7.15pm with Llandysul home guard, Tony Honeyman.

Calon Tysul

THE swimming pool and leisure centre have changed the Thursday 10am to 11am slot.

It will now be an adults-only lane swimming session, instead of a public session.

Splash classes also on in the other section of the pool.

Sioe Llandysul

YFC Stockjudging on Tuesday, 20 August, at 7.30pm at Blaencwmpridd, Synod Inn; good prizes for under 18s and under 26.

The show will be held on 7 September at Hengae, Saron.
