WI IT was a pleasure to see so many members present in the February meeting, on a very wet and windy night.President Susanaah Van Eegan introduced the speaker for the evening, Wendy Davies of Blodwen Flowers, Nant y Caws, near Carmarthen, who gave a detailed-talk on how she was inspired by her aunt to attend evening classes and to compete in local shows, then went to college to enhance her knowledge and experience.She then went on to make three arrangements, a hand bouquet of tulips and roses, a collection of spring flowers and finally a romantic display for Valentine’s Day. The results were absolutely amaz-ing. The arrangements where then raffled and the lucky winners where Lorraine, Hazel and Celia.A vote of thanks was given by Anne Morgan, who also won the monthly competition: best arrangement in a cup and saucer. Tea hostesses where Nicole, Lesley, Jennie and Angela.Next month’s meeting will be at Tysul Hall on 2 March, at 7.30pm. Elen Morgan, S4C will give a talk on her television experiences. AN enjoyable bingo evening, with plenty of prizes, was held at Tresi Aur on 1 February. Tea hostesses were Rowena and Hefina. Next meeting will be on 1 March, at 7.30pm, cawl at Tresi Aur.

Book Day

ANOTHER interesting day will be held with the supporters at the library to celebrate book on Saturday, 4 March.
