Rotary Club

LLANIDLOES Rotary Club has come to the end of another Rotary year, with Stephen Meyer handing over the reins to the new president, John Selwyn Smith.

Stephen has overseen a very successful year for the club with over £10,000 being raised and donated to a variety of good causes.

During Stephen’s year, the club enhanced the already fine-tuned bonfire night with music and newer Rotarians got his full backing when they brought fresh ideas to the table.

As a result, the club hosted its inaugural 10k run which generated over £1,000 for Llanidloes High School.

This was Stephen’s second time as president and he was applauded for his efforts over the last 12 months.

The new Rotary year which started on 1 July will again see the annual favorite events with John’s focus being on a large event during his year in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind.
