Concert

ON Saturday, 17 November, there will be a morning concert at the Vestry in China Street Chapel.

From 11am to 12.30pm the choir Vocalease will entertain. Tickets at the door include coffee and biscuits.

Coffee morning For Yemen

A COFFEE morning will be held on Saturday, 17 November at Chatwood, Longbridge Street, 10am-12pm to raise money for the work of Medecins Sans Frontiers helping people in Yemen.

Llanidloes Refugee Support group welcomes donations of cakes and biscuits, and is also collecting men’s clothes, shoes, blankets and toiletries for refugees in France and beyond. Take all items to Chatwood that morning.

Companion dog show

NEWTOWN and District Canine Society is holding a companion dog show in aid of Llanidloes Hospital League of Friends at the community centre, Sunday, 18 November; entries from 11am, judging from noon, £1.50 per dog per class.

The judge is Andrew Whitfield Roberts and there are pedigree and novelty classes. Refreshments are available all day, along with raffle prizes. Enquiries to 01547 529776.

Christmas Tree Festival

BUSINESSES and organisations in Llanidloes are once again invited to take part in a Christmas Tree Festival to take place in St Idloes Church from 7 to 11 December.

Arts and Crafts Fair

THE annual Arts and Crafts Fair opens its doors again at the Minerva Arts Centre, on Saturday, 10 November. Over 40 different artists and craftsmen from the coast to the borders of mid Wales, gather to sell their goods for the six weeks up to Christmas.

Open from 10am to 4.30pm, Monday to Saturday from 10 November. On that day, one of the exhibitors, Jane Keay, the well known artist and illustrator, will demonstrate her skills.
