Medieval history classes
Dr David Stephenson’s classes in medieval history resume in Llanidloes shortly. Classes on Tuesdays, 7pm to 9pm or on Wednesdays 2pm-4pm, both at The Mount Inn. The first classes will take place on 15 and 16 January.
The subject for this term will be the Mongol Empire. “This subject will take us back to the 13th and 14th centuries, and we shall meet perhaps the most efficient conquerors in history,” said Dr Stephenson. “The Mongol Empire, created by Genghis Khan, and developed by his successors, extended from the pacific coast of Asia, to eastern Europe, and all regions in between, including China, where the Mongols formed the Yuan dynasty.”
