When Pigs Have Wings
A FILM by Sylvain Estibal, the first of three films depicting life in Gaza and the West Bank, Palestine, will be shown at The Old Mill, at 7pm, on Friday, 1 February.
Free entry and donations toward costs appreciated.
Youth club
LLANIDLOES Rugby Club is to host an open meeting, at the clubhouse, with the aim to drive forward Youth Provision in the town through offering a youth club for children in the town.
Llanidloes RFC have hosted this over the past years and are now looking to create a diverse community group to lead this project.
The meeting, open to all, takes place at 6pm on Thursday, 7 February.
Tribute
A TRIBUTE to David Mancuso’s legendary 1970s parties at the Loft.
The spirit of the Loft will be supplied by DJs Chris Crasher, Dr Funkensteins, Les Earthdoctor, Gini and Den.
On Saturday, 16 February at the Old Mill, 8pm to 1am. There will be a bar and free admission.
Reading
A SHORT story reading at the Great Oak Bookshop on Thursday, 14 February, at 4pm.
Local author Suzanne Iuppa reads her short story, Baby Totten, from an anthology of Welsh Love Stories, A Fall Into Grace.
This will be followed by a Q&A.
BIBS
BIBS is a group for mums with babies and toddlers and mums to be.
They have drop-in sessions every Thursday from 11am to 12.30pm, term-time only.
There will be breastfeeding peer supporters available to chat with.
At the Old Mill Gallery, (next to the function room).
