Messy Church

ENJOY fabulous creative activities, a short all-age celebration and a yummy family dinner at St Idloes Church Hall on Friday, 15 February, 5pm to 7pm.

Rotary

LLANIDLOES Rotary Club has been presented with a certificate by the Assistant District Governor for its achievement in increasing membership over the last year. A thank you evening was held at the rugby club where a group of important contributors to Rotary good causes were congratulated on their efforts during a very convivial event. Also Llainidloes Cubs were presented with hammers in recognition of their very successful Bird Boxes Project. Tickets are still on sale for the world famous choir concert to be held on 2 March at 7pm in the Welsh Calvinistic Methodist Church, China Street.

Friends Together

EVERYONE is invited to come and join on the second Wednesday of each month at St Idloes Church Hall, 2pm to 3.30pm, or any part of that time; come in, meet friends, have a cup of tea, open to everyone of all ages.

RBL Llanidloes

THE Women’s Section would like to say a great big thanks to all who helped with 2018 Poppy Appeal. The grand total is now in and the amount raised was £5,836.86 which was collected during the appeal. Made up of street, house to house, donations, sales of goods, raffles, wreaths and collecting during the #TurnTheTownRed Photo display at the church hall and ‘fall of poppies’ display at the town hall.

The ladies are overwhelmed by the generosity of the town and district. Spoke person for the poppy appeal Viv Williams, said: “This is a fantastic amount, well done all.”
