Bingo

THERE will be bingo in aid of the Llanidloes Dragonettes on Wednesday, 21 August. Doors open 6.30pm, eyes down 7pm at the rugby club.

50p entry for adults includes tea/coffee and biscuit.

There will be bingo in aid of the Van Institute on Friday, 23 August.

Doors open 7.30pm, eyes down 8pm at the Van Institute.

Summer barbecue

THERE is a summer barbecue at the bowling club on Saturday, 31 August at 5pm to raise funds to site two defibrillators in Llanidloes.

This will be sponsored by Llanidloes Masonic lodge.

Tickets are £10 per person, £30 for family ticket (two adults and two children), dancing to the music of local artist Tony Hughes.

Treorchy Male Voice Choir

THE choir will be singing for the Lanidloes Community Centre Roof appeal fund on Saturday, 12 October, at 7pm at Llanidloes Community Centre.

Tickets are £16 for adults, £10 for children, from Woosnam and Davies newsagents, or on the door.

Auction of promises

THE auction is in conjunction with the Rotary club of Llanidloes.

It is on Friday, 13 September, at the rugby club, starts at 7pm, free entry.

Over 40 Lots kindly donated by local businesses and individuals.

Includes holidays abroad, a round of golf for four people, meal vouchers, ASUS Laptop, pet portrait, family tree package, tour of the Senedd, wine, travel vouchers, vintage port plus many more.

Also on the night a raffle and a hog roast.

Prehistoric Farm open day (The Wilderness Trust)

THERE is an open day on Sunday, 25 and Monday, 26 August.

Come and join in for demonstrations both days with Flint knapping, pottery making, leather tanning, bone working, nets and cordage, weaving, shoe making and archery.

Refreshments available.

£5 entry, children under five free.
