Phil Lee Thomas and Friends

AN evening with Phil Lee Thomas and Friends takes place at the rugby club on Friday, 25 October, at 7pm.

Tickets are £10 on the night or £8 in advance from Llanidloes high school.

All proceeds to support the Additional Learning Needs department and ASD Centre at Llanidloes high school.

St Idloes Church

THE return of the touring Russian Choir, Voskresenije (Resurrection Choir), on Wednesday, 6 November, at 7pm in St Idloes Church.

Tickets are £10, including refreshments.

Autumn show

THERE will be an autumn show at the Minerva Arts Centre, from 26 October to 2 November.

A group exhibition of work by Llanidloes based artists, paintings, prints and collage.

Exhibiting artists: Jeremy Andrews, Minna Barnes, Junko Burton, Kelli Di Capri, Vivi-Mari Carpelan, Leanne Cordingley-Wright, Sandy Craig, Irene Gardiner, Osian Gwent, Erin L Hughes, Annie Levy, Charlotte Lloyd, Diane Rose, Trin Stephens and Bronwyn Strugnell.

It opens on 26 October at noon until 3pm.

Music and Arts Club

THE club presents ‘Northumbrian Fiddle and Pipes’, the return of Andy and Margaret Watchorn, traditional music from Northumbria and beyond featuring smallpipes, fiddle, guitar and voice on Saturday, 26 October, 7.30pm at the Function Room.

Entrance £8, students £3, members free.

Bingo

THERE is bingo in aid of the Crocodocodilo children’s group at the rugby club on Wednesday, 23 October.

Doors open 7.30pm, eyes down 8pm.

50p entry for adults includes tea and coffee.

Talk

‘THE Trembling Warrior (A Guide For Reluctant Activists)’ will be the subject of a talk by author Gill Coombs, organised by Gwen Prince, at Trinity Church on 1 November at 7.30pm.

Christmas trees wanted

IF you’ve got an old Christmas tree you no longer need, Llani Christmas Lights can make good use of it.

The committee is also looking for tinsel, baubles and other tree decorations for one of it’s displays so if you’ve got trees or decorations you no longer need, drop them off at Llani Bikes in Great Oak Street or the X-Angelus Tattoo studio.
