Coffee morning

THERE will be a coffee morning arranged by CYTUN (Churches Together in Llanidloes) in aid of refugees at Chatwood, (the old HSBC bank), Longbridge Street, on Saturday, 24 September from 10.30am to 12pm.

There will be stalls and all proceeds go to help refugees.

Fête

THERE will be a fête with stalls and refreshments at Maesywennol Residential Home on Saturday, 24 September ,at 2pm.

Marathon

ANN Bryan is doing a sponsored organ playing for Llanidloes Fire Service on Wednesday, 28 September, at St Idloes Church from 12pm to 3pm.

Concert

THERE will be a concert with the Cantare Chamber Choir on Saturday, 24 September, at St Idloes Church at 7.30pm. The concert is being arranged by the Llanidloes Music and Arts Club.

Rotary Club

THE club’s next big event will be marshalling the Wales Rally GB, which takes place on Friday, 28 October.

Every year the club rely on local volunteers to bolster their numbers to cover all the duties, and are currently eight marshals short.

Anyone interested in supporting this year’s Wales Rally GB should contact a member of the Rotary Club for full details.

Rotarian Tony Thorn proposed some fellowship away days, with a Guinness experience being welcomed with smiling faces.

Speaker-secretary Mike Evitts has confirmed that the next speaker will be towards the end of the month and will be the renowned John Raymond Doré BSc CEng FIEE.

Gardening club

LLANIDLOES & District Gardening Club will be holding its AGM on Tuesday, 27 September, at the Elephant Inn, Longbridge Street at 7.30pm.

Harvest Festival

SERVICES will be held at Sychnant Presbyterian Church, Pantydwr, on Wednesday, 28 September.

The afternoon service at 3pm will be taken by Gwynfryn Evans and the evening service at 7pm by Rev Roy Bedford.

Tea will be served between the services. A warm welcome to all.

Harvest service

TRINITY Church Harvest Service takes place on Thursday, 29 September, at 7pm. It will be conducted by Rev Liz Varley.
