Book signing

SATURDAY, 2 December, 11.30am-12.30pm, local author Julia Francis will be at the Great Oak Bookshop signing copies of her book Henry and the Dinosaurs.

Friday, 8 December, at 7pm, The Great Oak Bookshop have Trevor Fishlock talking about his recently published memoirs, Reporter, the autobiography of the eminent journalist, broadcaster and author.

Coffee morning

COFFEE morning and Christmas Fair at the Minerva Gallery, High Street on Saturday, 2 December, 10am.

There will be a cake stall,tombola, Christmas cards, raffles and more. Just £1 entry, children free.

Concert

AT Llanidloes Baptist Church at 7pm, Friday, 8 December, doors open at 6.30pm.

Hosted by Huw Jones it features Sing With Us Llanidloes Choir, David Hilliard, guitarist; Harriet Earis, harpist; and Zac Evans, cornist. Tickets £5, call Tiffany Evans 07776 762036.

RAFA Wings Appeal

THIS year the appeal raised £2662.42.

The branch wishes to thank all the collectors, the premises that allowed collections and the public that gave so generously.

This year the Newtown ATC collected on the street in Newtown and supported Llanidloes so thanks go to them as well.

Van whist

THE Van Institute Whist Drives 2017 are on 5 and 19 December (Poultry). All start at 8pm.
