MEMBERS met on 10 September at the sports club.

Jean Coker welcomed nine members and after the business section of the meeting, Jean welcomed the speaker, Clive Moore, who is a First Responder in the Pwllheli area, something he has been doing voluntarily since the scheme started 15 years ago.

The scheme was put together by the ambulance service, to give assistance until an ambulance arrives.

He demonstrated resuscitation on a dummy and showed how to use a defibrillator.

A lot of the equipment has to be purchased by the responder, which is mostly funded by donations.

Clive gave an informative and interesting talk. Jean gave the vote of thanks.

The raffle winner was Joyce.

The competition winners were Margaret, Dilys and Jackie.
