Bingo evening
MANY thanks to all those who supported the recent bingo evening organised by the church, to include those who had made donations.
A sum of £536 was collected.
Sponsored walk
A SPONSORED walk has been arranged for Friday, 16 August, at 6pm outside the Crosshands.
St Peter’s Church
A PAROCHIAL Church Council (PCC) meeting was held on Monday, 15 July, at the church vestry.
Present: Canon Rev Philip Wyn Davies (chairperson); Susan Evans (church warden); Avril Jones (treasurer); Heather Jones; Ann Smith; Christine Rogers; Eleri Thomas (secretary).
Best Wishes were conveyed to Valerie Wood (vicar’s warden) and to all others within the Parish who had been unwell recently.
Llanybydder Church remains one of seven churches to the south of Lampeter, without a resident vicar since the departure of the Canon Suzy Bale in July 2018 (others include Llanllwni, Llanwnnen, Llanwenog, Cwmann, Llanycrwys and Pencarreg).
It was reported that it is hoped to fill this vacancy in due course. Canon Eileen Davies has been appointed as Arch Deacon of Cardigan.
Eileen has offered to assist with morning services at Llanybydder Church.
Canon Aled Williams, Canon Phillip Wyn and Rev Bill Fillery (Pastoral care) will also continue to help.
A church inspection had taken place in November 2018, which stipulated the improvements, which are required in relation to the church building.
Vestry roof: re-roofing is necessary and quotes are currently sought before applying for a faculty within the Church in Wales.
Thanks were expressed to Eurwyn Davies and Gareth Jones for undertaking many of the recommendations of the inspection report viz, access ramp for disabled persons, clear blocked tower rainwater pipe; treat woodworm to porch roof timbers and repair of tower door.
Condolences were expressed to all those who have lost a loved one in recent months.
Many thanks to everyone who has helped the life of Llanybydder Church in the past year. It has been appreciated.

THANK you to everyone who supported the Christian Aid Week.
A total of £563 had been collected (Rhydybont and Aberduar Chapels and Llanybydder Church).
