WI

THE group got off to a good start for the new year with a new day, Monday, and a new time, 1.30pm, in place for their meetings.

There was a good attendance at the most recent meeting, although there were several apologies due to illness.

Delyth, the president, wished everyone a Happy New Year and sent best wishes to all that were ill.

She also welcomed a new member and hopes she enjoys her time with the WI.

After the monthly business was discussed, the programme for the year was decided. Then, one of the members, Sally Rees, had brought some of the craft work that she has made to show the group.

Sally has won several prizes over the years for her fantastic work, including work shown at the Royal Welsh Show.

Many thanks were given to her and then it was then time for tea, for which everyone contributed a plate of goodies to start the new year.

New members are always welcome.
