Volunteers wanted

COMMUNITY Action Machynlleth & District (CAMAD) in conjunction with Sioned Pritchard, the Dyfi Valley Community Connector, are looking for volunteers to help older residents and people with disabilities with everyday tasks.

Everyone tends to take things such as changing a light bulb, shopping, taking the dog for a walk, even just tea and chat for granted so every little piece of extra help is a life line to an elderly person and helps their health, well -being, and social isolation.

CAMAD’s manager, Linda Hayward, said: “We are receiving more and more requests from family members and local health teams to help older residents with everyday tasks, anyone with a spare half hour can make a huge difference to someone’s quality of life.”

If you want to make a difference, contact the CAMAD office on 01654 700071.
