Garden Club

THE next meeting of Machynlleth & District Garden Club will be at the Bowling Club on Tuesday, 2 April, at 7.30pm.

Peter Styles will give an illustrated talk on ‘Life at Kew’ Gardens. All welcome.

Easter Fun

CANOLFAN Pennal’s Easter Funday takes place on Saturday, 21 April starting at 2pm. Various stalls will be in view, as well as an Easter Egg Hunt and an Easter Bonnet competition.

Admission £3 adults and £1 children.

Mach Maethlon

ON Wednesday, 20 March, volunteers met at the Edible Mach picnic table at Plas Machynlleth to erect the last few display signs and, while doing so, completed a number of other jobs.

The group’s popular and free cooking sessions continued at the Machynlleth Bowling Club on 21 March when, utilising the club’s wellappointed kitchen, chef Mikhael led members through the art of making vegan paella with vegan chorizo.

Book Club

CONTINUING their series of ‘A reflection of life through literature’, the Tabernacle-based book club will be considering Outline by Rachel Cusk.

If you like to read and chat go along to the Tabernacle’s Green Room at 2pm on Friday, 5 April.

Calling all technophobes

A SERIES of ‘Digital Gwynedd’ sessions have been designed and run on Monday afternoons at Canolfan Pennal between 2pm and 4 pm.

Problems with mobile phones, tablets, iPads, laptops and desktops are all covered.

Etifeddiaeth/Heritage

ETIFEDDIAETH Dyffryn Dyfi Heritage Society has arranged for Dr Rita Singer, RCAHMW, to be the guest speaker at its next meeting in the Tabernacle Auditorium on Wednesday, 3 April, at noon.

Commemorating the war at sea, Dr Singer will give a talk on the U-Boat Project 1914-18.

All meetings are open to members (£1) and non-members (£3).
