Ecodyfi

AGM ECODYFI’s AGM and forum on Thursday, 5 December, will focus on two current projects, about health and farming.

In the Trywydd Iach – Outdoor Health project, Ecodyfi and Coed Lleol (Small Woods Wales) have teamed up to help the community get active outdoors, to improve health and wellbeing.

A pilot programme of activities such as gardening and walking is underway, in collaboration with Dyfi Valley Health.

The key objective of the mixed farming – histories and futures project is to illustrate that, historically, mixed farming - the growing of crops as well as the raising of livestock – was much more common in Wales than it is now. The aim is to help make the case for supporting sustainable mixed agriculture and a more resilient local food production economy.

Ecodyfi’s annual report will draw attention to the repair and share fairs and to Energy Local, Machynlleth.

This is a new co-op that will allow renewable electricity to be used locally, at an agreed price that benefits both the local generators and the users.

Ecodyfi is inviting readers to nominate themselves in advance to join the board, as well as to attend the meeting in the Tabernacle’s foyer that starts at 7.30pm.
