Ladies Club

THE first meeting after the summer break is on Thursday, 27 September, at 7.45pm for 8pm. The Christmas Dinner is booked for 6 December.

Pensioners’ Club

A MEETING was held on Tuesday, 3 July, with Mrs B W Jones in the chair.

Mrs Jones welcomed members and sent best wishes to members unable to attend. She expressed sympathy with Mrs M Hughes Jones and family on the death of her daughter-in-law.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery were sent to Mrs K Croker.

Dr Daniel Evans gave an illustrated talk on a visit to Myanmar sailing up the Irrawaddy river and arriving at Mandalay.

Dr Evans was thanked by Jean Cocker for a very enjoyable afternoon.

The mystery trip will be on 10 July.

The next meeting will be on 4 September, after the summer break.
