Pensioners’ Club

A MEETING was held at Y Ganolfan on Tuesday, 2 April, with Mrs B W Jones in the chair.

Mrs Jones welcomed members and sent best wishes to members unable to attend; sympathy was extended to Rhian Jones on the death of her sister.

Mrs Jones introduced Nia Brenda and Avril from Santander who gave an informative talk on fraud awareness.

The next meeting will be on Tuesday, 7 May, when final details for the trip to Chester will be made.

Ladies club

THE speaker, Judith Shenton, shared aspects of her thirty years living and working in the Middle East.

She brought along some typical party food from the Middle East and after explaining how and why they were made, and the make-up of four of the traditional spices she used, members were able to sample a variety of these treats.

The speaker at the next meeting on 18 April at the Nanhoron Hotel, 7.45pm for 8pm will be Jenny Wilson on ‘Planning for Chelsea’.
