THE latest community news from Nefyn
Parti ar y Pafin
THE very first Parti ar y Pafin street party was an enormous success.
It was great to see Nefyn High Street transformed once again into a bustling hub of economic activity.
Over 1,000 people turned up to a day of music, food, children’s activities and some great produce and craft stalls that really showcased all that Nefyn has to offer. Over £3,000 was raised for the renovation of Tafarn yr Heliwr.
Diolch to Arloesi Gwynedd for their funding, and thanks to our brilliant volunteers for helping the day run smoothly.
A special vote of thanks goes to Nefyn Youth Committee for their hard work, with some members up at the crack of dawn!

They need your support if you want it to happen again!
Mural
THE Unique Streets funding from Arloesi Gwynedd is designed to support innovative ways to revitalize Gwynedd’s High Streets.
To fulfil this aim, Tafarn yr Heliwr has commissioned local artist Darren Evans to create a mural for the side of the Old Post- Ashley’s shop.
The idea is to brighten up the gateway to Nefyn and celebrate the town’s unique history and heritage.
Darren has come up with some exciting designs, and we have worked with Mirain Fflur and pupils from Ysgol Nefyn to ensure the mural reflects the ideas of the next generation.
Calor Gas
TAFARN yr Heliwr has managed to secure £5,000 funding from the Calor Gas Community Fund.
They would like to thank everyone for the votes that got them to the final.
The cash will be spent on painting the facade of Tafarn yr Heliwr, new hanging baskets and signage, and lighting – making the High Street look and feel better for everyone.
G?yl Cwrw Ll?n
THANKS to Cwrw Ll?n, Tafarn yr Heliwr ran their barbecue again at the annual G?yl Cwrw Ll?n.
It was, as always, a great day out.
They made over £1,000; together with the money from Parti ar y Pafin, this will be spent on refurbishment of the inside of the building.
