Camera club

IT was brought to the attention of this week’s meeting, that two members have been the very worthy recipients of high accolades within the international photographic communities.

Margaret Jones, founding member, and Colin Price have each received the QPSA, the ‘Qualified Photographic Society of America’ award, for their large number of internationally accepted submissions of a very high standard.

Margaret has also received the very prestigious AFIAP award, the ‘Ariste Federation Internationale d’art Photographique’ for the high standard of her international submissions.

The meeting continued as an ‘Evening of Night Photography’, when many members descended on New Quay, in light rain, to capture night-time images, in and around the town.

The less adventurous used an improvised studio, and lighting, indoors.

On 6 December, the annual Christmas trophy dinner will be held in the yacht club, with an open theme competition, to be judged by distinguished guest judge, Ian Ledgard.

The next meeting, in the memorial hall, on Thursday, 20 Decemberh, will be a practical evening to discuss the imaged taken over the summer.

They will also demonstrate Lightroom, Silver Fox and Affinity, for those wishing to explore this software.
