Ramblers

ON Sunday, 23 February, Chris and Dwynwen will lead a moderately easy six-mile walk in and around New Quay, including parts of the coast path.

The walk will start at the main stone jetty in New Quay (grid ref: SN 390601) at 10.30am (9.30am meeting at Plascrug Leisure Centre, Aberystwyth).

There is a car park near the stone jetty with free parking for February.

This is a Derek Brockway walk based on the Dylan Thomas Trail taking in beautiful views and parts of the town frequented by Dylan Thomas.

The walk leaves the jetty and goes along the harbour beach before carrying on to Traethgwyn and Llanina Point.

From there they go along a quiet country road to see Majoda where Dylan Thomas lived and then through Quay West, the Jubilee Trail, and Brongwyn Lane before heading for St Llwchaiarn Church to the south of New Quay and the coast path leading back to the stone jetty.

No dogs are allowed on this walk except registered assistance dogs with prior consultation with the leaders.

If you would like more information contact Chris and Dwynwen on 01970 820166.
