Walkers
THE New Quay Walkers chose the Llangrannog and Pontgarreg area for their November walk.
Led by Berwyn Thomas, 20 walkers, accompanied by five excited dogs, set off from the seafront in Llangrannog and made their way along quiet lanes and footpaths past Pigeonsford to Pontgarreg.
They then skirted the Urdd complex up to the top of Pen y Badell where lunch was taken, before descending to complete their five-mile walk at Llangrannog to the Pentre Arms.
The next walk is on Saturday, 10 December, meeting at Mwnt at 10.30am for a circular ramble which includes the recently opened coastal path towards Gwbert.

RNLI Christmas Fayre
THE RNLI fundraisers at New Quay are holding the ever popular annual Christmas Fayre at the Penwig Hotel on Saturday, 3 December.
Father Christmas will arrive by lifeboat shortly before 10am with lots of goodies for well behaved children and will be greeted by local schoolchildren singing Christmas carols.
The fayre will have something to please all ages with a raffle containing very good prizes, reindeer face painting and various stalls of handicrafts, RNLI gifts, a bottle stall and much more. Entry is free.
Father Christmas will be meeting the children and handing out gifts. This is always a popular feature so be prepared for a long queue!
Liz Singer, chair of the RNLI fundraising committee, said: “The RNLI Christmas Fayre is one of the most looked forward to events in New Quay’s calendar, a delightful, fun and festive event for all the family. Come and join us and start your Christmas countdown with the RNLI.”
